Question by Shirley: what is cheaper than an ipad that you can download iphone apps to?
My husband had a stroke and there is an iphone app called verbal victor that would be so helpful because he cannot speak but ipads are so expensive so I was looking for something cheaper.Any ideas?

You’re husband had a stroke, cannot talk anymore, and you wont spend an extra $ 200-$ 250? (over iphone) on the device he is going to have to use to communicate with now? Wow……
You can buy him an Iphone or ipod touch…but the screens are small and would be hard for someone who just had a stroke to operate…Get him a damn ipad the man deserves it. The screen size alone on that thing will make the money much more worth the ipod or iphone.
BTW: I do feel for you, and have to give you props that you are staying with him through it. Many people just get up and leave when something like that happens (i know hard to imagine..but very true) Sorry to hear about the bad news and i wish you the best

You can get iphone apps on a ipod touch, but the new one has a camera so it costs more than the older one. The older one is just as good though.
