Part 1 of 3. (Part 3 is uploading now!) This video shows how to use and get the most out of iBooks. I go over reading books, interacting with the books, downloading books, downloading PDFs, and viewing PDFs. **UPDATE** : I have been notified of a bug in iBooks. What happens is when you install iBooks, PDFs that are emailed to you only show the first page. The fix is to uninstall iBooks and to reinstall iBooks again. You should then be able to browse all of the pages in your PDFs again. Part 1: Now viewing! Part 2: www.youtube.com Part 3: www.youtube.com www.techtimewithmikebed96.wordpress.com

My iOS is 4.2 and I downloaded and installed iBooks. I downloaded some books from Apple store (on my laptop) and synced it to my iPod but it still doesn’t come up

@mikebed96 Nooo , ima try it wifi , thx mate

mikebed96 Says:
@KennyTreeHug It sounds like you are getting the book from your computer. If you have WiFi, have you tried downloading the book from your iPod touch? It should work either way, though…

@KennyTreeHug If you have an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, then you have iOS. iOS is what Apple calls the firmware that these devices run on. If you don’t have an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, then you don’t have iOS. If you don’t have iOS, then you don’t have iBooks.

What if I dont have this “ios”

mikebed96 Says:
@mikeshinoda1998 You cannot import books into iBooks. You must download books via iTunes on your computer or via the iBooks store on your device.
-
mikebed96 Says:
@gohan851 Technically, it is referred to as a firmware. However, Apple calls it “iOS”, where OS stands for Operating System.
-
gohan851 Says:
Its apple firmware
If it was an opperating system it would be mac or pc

@magnumforce1983 Once you get into jailbreaking, I can’t help you. I only post videos and help people about non-jailbroken material. Too many things can go wrong in a jailbreak that it is almost impossible for me to know how to fix the problem unless I can use the device and play around with it. If you are looking for a jailbreaking-based video show and blog, I suggest you look somewhere else.

Hi Fellow Mike,
Em, well i have the Bible and varous study guides, i downloaded them from Installous though, is there a shelf i can download that will show books on a shelf? -
mikebed96 Says:
@magnumforce1983 Are you on the bookshelf or PDF shelf? Did the download completely finish? Did you ever download a book? Try uninstalling and reinstalling iBooks.

@tricolor707 You are going to have to contact Apple. In iTunes, bring up your billing history and find the order that contains the book you purchased. Then open the order and select the Report a Problem button next to the book. Explain your situation. Apple’s support team is pretty nice and if you have not had an issue like this before, they should let you download it again for free and tell you what to do for future problems.

hey i have a question. i bought a book from the app store before the ibooks app came out. is it possible to download that same book again for free from the ibook store or do i have to pay for it again?
-
mikebed96 Says:
@909Multiprincess Make sure the book finished downloading. I have not heard of this issue before, so maybe you would want to try uninstalling and reinstalling iBooks on your device. There have been some bugs found, such as when viewing PDFs, that are fixed when you reinstall the app.

mikebed96 Says:
@Ivanlamperouge You will need to go to iTunes and search for iBooks and then install it. And you need an iTunes account to install things from iTunes. If you do not have one, there will be an option to make one on your computer.

Ivanlamperouge Says:
