Question by jdanae: Does the iPad have an equivalent to Adobe Flash?
My husband just bought me an ipad2 and I can’t hardly watch any videos!!!! I like to catch up on the news and it won’t play the videos!! Can I download something that will allow me to watch videos?

Nope. You buy that over priced and incompatible Apple junk, you will have to convert all of your media. Anyone elses media player is plug and play. Not Apple!

Unfortunately, no. While the iPad does everything else, apple devices do not currently support flash. Your best bet would be to find an app with the videos you need, (HBO, Fox 17, YouTube.) And to my knowledge, there is no program to add flash.

Answer is… Apple iPad and iPod does not support Flash. To play video you need to install the apps that work around it, such as crackle, youtube, flixster, netflix, xfinity, etc.
A third party free apps iSwifter will run limited flash video and game.

Don’t listen to the people saying it’s impossible. Download Skyfire from the App Store for $ 5. It’s not the fastest, but it’ll definitely get the job done.

Flash is dead. All video works on iPad without flash. All news channel like Abc,CNN Fox have FREE iPad apps and all these apps have tons of video and also LIVE video.
You just heard from some old school dumb person that iPad doesn’t support flash and believed it that it won’t p,ay video.Flash is nothing but just a cheesy video format which is taking it’s last breath.
All the sites have recoded it’s content in HTML5. Not only News sites but also Netflix,Crackle,ABC, HULU,HBO,DISNEY plays full length movies and TV shows on iPad in great quality.
PBS also has all the full length shows on iPad.
There are many other sites that stream full length movies for free.
You can even play all flash based online games like Farmville with better graphics and more features.
You can stream live TV on iPad and watch live sports using FREE app WatchESPN.
If you like news, install FREE apps CNN,ABC and FOX
Install Netflix, Abc Player,Crackle,HBO for movies and TV shows.
For sports, ESPN,NBA, AT BAT, WATCHESPN.
