Could I use a Apple iPad as a computer?

I am in the market for a new laptop or netbook and I was wondering if i could use a ipad instead, it has the option to get a keyboard for if i ever wanted to type a document but i am not sure if it has any kind of word processing apps i could download from the istore, i would probably just use it on a wifi signal for now i have a wireless mifi router i can take with me anywhere i go, other than word docs all i use my computer for is internet such as youtube, facebook, web browsing and such so, I think i would be fine, i thought it would be better to ask first though, does anyone know if there is a app for word docs?

No, get a laptop. They are cheaper (depending on the type) or about the same price and laptops can do way more. The word apps probably suck. But if you get it, whatever. If you hate it, it’s not my problem.

P.S. There is no such that as an istore.

iPad is pretty much a gigantic iPod touch and is marketed towards morons who dont know anything about computers and will just throw money at Steve Jobs. Don’t be a tool

yes there is a whole set of apps just for using your ipad like a normal computer for word processing. they arent too expensive and are definitely less expensive than microsoft office. i would recommend still having an actually laptop or desktop at home to sync with the ipad because it can only hold so much. all in all, an ipad would be good as an ultra portable thing, but you should just get a netbook or small laptop if you want the same functions as a laptop, an ipad isnt the same.
