Hi. I would like to put some dvds on to my ipad. I know that you have to download a converter but which one is the best and do i just put the dvd in and use the converter ?

Handbrake. I go to iPod and xbox 360 compatible formats. Sometimes you need a method of getting around the encryption on DVDs though. You can rip the dvd using DVDShrink in Windows (may need like AnyDVD or something else). I have yet to find a totally good full proof way on the Linux side, but I’m working on a method. MAC, I have no idea, but should be similar to a Linux method. Handbrake doesn’t work with the new Gnome desktop on linux though

Try Xilisoft.
I use their software and it works great.
If you are using original film DVD’s then you will most likely need SlySoft AnyDVD software too.

You can try Tune4mac DVD Converter Pro if you have a Mac. You just need to insert your DVD to your computer and launch the program to convert it to iPad. Easy and fast.
